Austin City Limits Music Festivalooza

Well folks, I'm off again. But only for a short while. It's time once again for the annual pilgrimage to the home town for the Austin City Limits Music Festival. This year is looking pretty stellar so far, with bands such as the Mars Volta, Gnarls Barkley, Band of Horses, Vampire Weekend and Man Man making appearances. So, basically, my entire iPod will be in attendance. I'll be back next week, ready to fill you in on all the highlights. Now, where's my pipe and hackey?

Hellooooo Paris!

Ah, yes...Paris, France! The land of outrageous wines, cheeses and body odors. Where naps and pretentiousness go hand-in-hand. The city that gave us french toast*, french fries*, french dips* and, uh....french kissing.*
Me and my gal are off to the "City of Lights" for a week of well-earned vacation, so back off. But don't worry. I'll be back to warping your fragile little minds before you know it.

Happy Anniversary, Dude

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the classic piece of cinema gold known as The Big Lebowski.
Can you believe it? 10 years? It feels like just yesterday, sitting in a movie theater in Lubbock, Texas, watching what was soon to become one of my all-time, Top 5 movies. With characters such as Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski, Walter Sobchak, Donny Kerabatsos and Jesus Quintana, not to mention Maude, Bunny, The Stranger, Jackie Treehorn and the Nihilists, one would have a hard time NOT enjoying themselves.
So, here's to you, Dude. Do your part, and watch this film in honor of the Coen brothers' genius. Unless you have league play, in which case, the dude must abide.
